For our 14th edition of BlueSkyFriday Favourites, we’re delighted to feature Jo Bucknall.
Jo is a celebrated personal stylist and popular content creator who has inspired thousands of women with her timeless fashion advice and daily outfit inspiration on @theeditbutton. With a career that began in the fast-paced world of Vogue House London and a growing passion for interiors following her family’s move to the countryside, Jo brings creativity, confidence and a chic sense of style to everything she does.
Jo started her career in Vogue House London, working for the likes of Glamour and Vogue as Executive Retail Editor for 12 years. There she fell in love with fashion styling, compiling shopping pages, and hosting and presenting at events with international luxury brands. Working for Condé Nast was fast-paced, exhilarating and at times extraordinary. Every day was different, and Jo fondly recalls the iconic characters and lifelong friends she met and worked with.
After having children and leaving the world of magazines, Jo decided to work for herself and set up a virtual styling business under her successful Instagram domain @theeditbutton. Her faithful clients return to her seasonally to boost their sense of style and refresh their wardrobes with outfits for work, events, weekends and evenings out. Jo’s effortless, classic and chic personal style inspires her clients to dress in a way that makes them feel confident and empowered on a daily basis.
She has recently teamed up with Alchemist Travel, a bespoke luxury travel company, helping their clients curate considered wardrobes tailored to their personalised itineraries and international trips. With Jo’s expertise and strategy, clients are able to travel lighter, smarter and more confidently.
Alongside fashion, Jo’s creativity extends to design. She has recently launched a jewellery collection with acclaimed jewellery brand Auree, focusing on sustainability and wearability. The beautiful collection comprises geometric hoops with striking interchangeable drops that can be mixed and matched to suit your outfit or mood.
With her move from London to the countryside, Jo has also found a newfound love for interiors. Currently redecorating an old Georgian house, she channels her renovation journey and design inspiration through her aspirational interiors account @theeditbuttonhome, where she shares her evolving style in décor and home living.
When not working, Jo loves country walks with her family, girls’ trips to Ibiza, cheering her son on from the sidelines of a football pitch, and travelling to explore new holiday destinations.
