Cressida Bonas is an actress, writer and podcaster whose work moves between theatre, screen and cultural projects. This June she shares her favourites with BlueSkyFriday.
Cressida Bonas has built a creative career that spans film, television, theatre and audio storytelling. With a background in classical ballet, she trained at the Royal Ballet School before studying dance at the University of Leeds and Trinity Laban Conservatoire. She has appeared in productions including historical romantic drama 'Tulip Fever' (2017), TV series 'White House Farm' (2020) and a West End stage adaptation of 'The Great Gatsby' (2016), earning a reputation for bringing warmth, sensitivity and depth to her performances.
In 2014, she was named to Vanity Fair's International Best-Dressed List and was subsequently photographed by Mario Testino for the magazine. She has also modelled for Burberry and fronted a campaign for Mulberry, cementing her place as one of Britain's most stylish creative figures.
Today, alongside her acting work, Bonas is increasingly recognised for her writing and podcasting. Together with her half-sister Isabella, she co-hosts
'Lessons From Our Mothers', a thoughtful and engaging podcast exploring motherhood, family, identity and the relationships that shape us. Through candid conversations with writers, actors and cultural figures, the sisters delve into the experiences that connect women across generations.
A mother herself, Bonas has spoken openly about her own journey to parenthood, including her experience with IVF, helping to foster honest conversations around fertility and modern motherhood. Balancing family life with an ever-evolving portfolio of creative projects, she brings curiosity, insight and authenticity to everything she does.
