In her selection, Jo shares the places, rituals and inspirations that shape her days — from the sensory magic of Morocco and restorative hammam rituals, to the podcasts she listens to on early morning walks around the farm. There are glimpses into the wellbeing practices that anchor her week, the drink that marks the end of a long day, and the scent that holds decades of memory. Grounded in nature yet deeply attuned to creativity and community, Jo’s favourites reflect the same warmth, calm and considered spirit that runs through everything she does.

Favourite Travel Destination

The interiors at Barnsgrove truly reflect the place that has had my heart from the moment I first stepped off the plane. Morocco has a way of staying with you, it is a feast for the senses — the light, the warmth, the sounds and the scents that fill the air. The soft plaster pinks, sun-warmed ochres and natural earthy tones don’t just decorate a space, they completely envelop you. It is more than just a destination it is a feeling.  I love to solo travel there, for a ritual ultimate reset: long hours in the traditional hammams with scrubs and full body masks, then retreating to the sun for stillness with a book and the vastness of the Atlas Mountains as a backdrop. There is something about the landscape, ancient, steady & grounding that restores perspective and calm. Returning to the Clubhouse — with its arches, plaster-pink walls and suzanis adorning the space — I can almost transport myself back there. It holds the same warmth and grounding energy. I’m already looking forward to returning to Morocco, this time with my son after his A Levels in June — sharing a place that has given me so much clarity and calm.

Favourite Podcast

I’ve recently discovered Uncensored CMO with Jon Evans, and it has quickly become a favourite. I catch up on podcasts during my morning dog walk around the farm — a rare and essential pocket of time to be alone with my thoughts. In farming, we never really needed to “market” a product in the way I do now with the Clubhouse, so any insight I can gather from the incredible guests Jon interviews is invaluable. A particular highlight was Jim Cregan, sharing his journey of building the Jimmy's Iced Coffee brand and the realities of entrepreneurship. As we step further into the world of hospitality, I’ve also loved hearing from Will Guidara, the former co-owner of Eleven Madison Park — once named the world’s number one restaurant. His philosophy around pattern recognition — noticing the moments that happen again and again, and deciding in advance the most thoughtful or extraordinary way to respond — really resonated with me. It’s about recognising opportunity in the everyday and creating magic in those small, repeatable moments.

Favourite Fitness Class

I feel incredibly lucky to now be in a position where I have access — just like our Clubhouse members — to 15 amazing classes across our wellbeing timetable Yoga, Pilates, Barre, Eloda and HIIT. For my mental health and clarity, a class a day has become my way of carving out true headspace: no phone, no computer, just 100% focus on the practice in front of me. Our Monday morning Advanced Yoga class with Yuki Price is non-negotiable. Yuki has a background in martial arts and places a strong emphasis on flexibility, strength and mobility. I’m not quite as flexible as the dancers he teaches at Pineapple Dance Studios, but with his encouragement and hands-on approach, I can already feel the benefits — physically and mentally.

Favourite Drink

A tall glass of bubbles has always been my go-to — Champagne in a tall, elegant flute feels instantly celebratory, a quiet celebration of something, no matter how small the occasion. But even more meaningful to me is a glass of our local English sparkling wine, Candover Brook. Through the Clubhouse, I’ve been lucky enough to form a close relationship with this wonderful supplier. There’s something rather special about raising a glass to a wine grown from the same kind of soil and stewardship we understand so well — and the fact that it is utterly delicious makes it all the better. I always hope there’s a chilled glass waiting for me at Palmers Restaurant to mark the end of the week. Set across just five hectares, the vineyard is rooted in sustainability and regenerative farming. A chalk stream runs through the estate, home to the rare white-clawed crayfish that inspired their label — a quiet symbol of the care taken to nurture both land and wildlife.

Favourite Scent

Since school, I have always been a Chanel Cristalle person. They say you have a signature scent, and that has always been mine, with very little deviation over the years. Now that I have two girls, they are beginning to search for their own signature scents. We’re incredibly lucky to have such a wonderful creator on our doorstep with Connock London. I’ve followed Amanda Connock since she first launched, and her Kukui diffusers are often commented on around the Club as our house scent. Seeing her on The Apprentice this week was so exciting. Both of my girls now wear her perfumes, and when I walk into their rooms while they’re away, the scent instantly brings them to mind. It’s such a powerful thing — how fragrance holds memory. I love the thought that it may become part of their story too, a scent they carry with them throughout their own journeys.
