Meet Rose Harvie: The Culinary Creative Behind Peardrop London

Either in her London home or the warm, inviting space of her Peardrop kitchen, Rose Harvie is always immersed in the world of food. Her days and often her nights revolve around dreaming up new dishes, testing bold ideas and bringing ingredients to life with flair and finesse.

Rose’s cooking style is rooted in farm-to-table values and modern British cuisine, with influences that wander lovingly through Italy and France. Her plates reflect her passion for foraging and her instinctive eye for flowers and herbs brings a vibrant, garden-led beauty to everything she creates.

Peardrop London was born in 2013 with a simple mission: make lunchtime something Londoners get out of bed for. At the time, the capital’s lunch landscape was dominated by dull, soulless options and Rose Harvie saw an opportunity to do things differently. Armed with bold optimism, a Vespa and a belief in the power of seasonal, beautiful food, she began delivering elegant, imaginative meals across the city. What Peardrop may have lacked in formal business credentials, it more than made up for in spirit, creativity, and a deep commitment to quality.

More than a decade on, Peardrop has evolved from a tiny lunch delivery venture into a full-scale, food-focused studio. It now caters fashion shoots, star-studded weddings and high-end events, all while keeping sustainability at its core. Long before it was trendy, Rose was cooking with reclaimed ingredients, hosting zero-waste supper clubs and fighting to reduce the environmental impact of every plate that left the kitchen. From supermarket product lines to frozen meals and virtual canapé parties during lockdown, Peardrop has stayed nimble, joyful and deeply intentional.

This summer, they’ve expanded into larger kitchens in Chiswick selling not just canapés - but main courses, salads, sandwiches and cakes via their website too. And through all this, Peardrop remains true to its founding philosophy: to excite and delight through food that’s innovative, seasonal — and almost too beautiful to eat.
